Welcome to yoga for complete beginners! This beginner yoga class is geared toward the brand new yogi.

In this beginner friendly yoga class, you will learn and practice basic yoga poses that youโ€™ll find in a typical yoga class so you can get acclimated with the poses themselves, along with how to practice them safely and effectively.

What youโ€™ll need for this class:
Comfortable clothing
Yoga Mat
Yoga Blocks (If you donโ€™t have two yoga blocks, you can substitute books or water bottles that are roughly the same height, but we do recommend using yoga blocks.)

  4. Hi, firstly thank you Ashton! Question for you, the position of your head an the finish of Cow pose. Reading up, post session (but not your own) after my neck was giving me problems. Narrowed it down to fact that I had lifted my chin too far and hyperextend my cervical spinal extensors. The guidance was to achieve a subtle lift of the chin. I appreciate that your level of experience may allow for this, but for others following your example it may have an negative outcome. With genuine thanks for your help during this challenging time.
