Cultivating an Attitude of Gratitude Yoga Class – Five Parks Yoga

This free yoga class is dedicated to creating an attitude of gratitude toward yourself, your life, and others via the avenues of movement and breath, as well as healing hand mudras and a quote by Rumi.

Included in this class are hand mudras (Anjali mudra and Lotus mudra), as well pranayama (breathing), and asana (physical postures) that will enhance your experience of gratitude.

Class begins in Child’s pose with reverse Anjali mudra, as we set an intention for class. Warm-up includes cat/cow and modified side plank variations. After Downward dog stretches, you can enjoy crescent lunges, crescent moons, half splits, and more.

Standing postures include Warrior 2, reverse warrior, standing forward fold, extended side angle, prayer squat, wide-legged standing forward fold, skandasana. Build heat in plank pose, side plank, chaturanga, jiva splits, and more.

Balance poses include Half Moon pose, staff pose, tree pose (with mudra variations).

Deep stretches include pigeon, shoulder stretches, camel, bridge pose, spinal twists, knees to chest.

Class ends with Savasana. Enjoy reminders throughout the class to re-connect to feelings of gratitude.
