Hey everyone, welcome to my youtube channel! This week’s class is all about setting the tone for the day ahead and getting clear on goals. I’m a big believer of setting intentions and using affirmations and if you are too, this class is perfect for you!

This is an hour long flow that will open up and strengthen your entire body while also giving you space to feel into your heart and checking in with your mental space.

Some of the poses will be quite challenging and we might be holding them for a bit longer than you’re used to but that’s only so you can stay fully present and really feel into your body. I hope you enjoy this class and that it helps you stay focused, clear and present. This is a wonderful class to do in the morning. We start the practice with a long seated meditation to quiet down the mind and receive inspiration.

    Side question, in warrior 1 I cannot get my foot to do a 45 degree angle. Is that ankle flexibility? Thank you so much πŸ’• Namaste πŸ™πŸ’•

  2. here is something that interests me about your teaching Kassandra..

    my main guru – who I practiced with regularly for 15 years – always used to say "I teach what is in front of me" – meaning – he adjusted teaching based on what he saw the students doing as they practiced.

    How does this translate to video/YouTube teaching? you cannot see us as we practice with you – at least not visually in real time – so how do you adjust your teaching (which you seem to do very well, given your popularity and following, and based on my own experience practicing with your classes for about a year now) – by reading the comments is the obvious answer – but I cannot help but wonder if there are other ways?

    If this is something also of interest to you – I would be thrilled to hear your thoughts on this topic..

  8. Hey Kassandra πŸ™‚ can you please do some more one hour long morning classes with focus on stretching and strengthening the whole body?

  9. I loved this class. I did it first thing in the morning and woke me up slowly but also with enough stretches to feel energized. I am not a big yin yoga fan as I am not patient enough in slow poses. But this combination of yin and vinyasa yoga is perfect for me. Next time, I would do a short intro session to get better stretch first as I was still a bit shore from morning wake up. Thank you Kassandra!

I really appreciate the quick verbal preview you do at the beginning of each of your yoga videos giving the difficulty level as well as a overview of what types of poses we'll be doing (mostly balance poses, or we'll be holding poses for longer than usual, etc.). This makes it easier to decide which video I'm in the mood for, and this detailed preview is something a lot of the other yoga youtubers don't provide. You're an excellent teacher!
